| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Jan 19, 2009 What an aroma! A great mix of Belgian spice and fresh hops. The flavor is also a great balance of the two. First spice, then hops, then spice again in the end. Really a fantastic beer, and I had it almost warm. jrob21 (1264), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 19, 2009 Pours clear golden color with a bit of a frothy white head. Aroma is distinctly west coast hops with some grassiness and grapefruit. Hop flavor profile is diverse and complex but starts with some bubblegum type flavors and grapefruit. Bitter hop finish as well. Bigger hop profile than a straight IPA. The body is decent and sweet and where you get the belgian influence with this one. A little syrupy as well. Pretty tasty and glad this one is recently available in the ATL. juiceisloose (671), Windermere, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 18, 2009 Pours a clear rusty orange color with a decent sized cream colored head that leaves rings of lacing around the glass. The aroma shows notes of orange peel, citrus fruits, grassy hops, and a rather distinctive blegian yeast character. The flavor follows with the fresh citrus, spices, and some dry yeast. The hop bitterness is present throughout, but balanced nicely by the fruity yeast profile. Medium bodied mouthfeel with good carbonation with a long, dry bitter finish. This was different for sure, but one I enjoyed. kp (8399), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 17, 2009 bomber from grape and gourmet. pours a bright, clear golden color with a thin, clean white head. aroma is purely belgian, sweet and slightly hoppy, bright but not huge. the aroma is balanced by hints of floral west coast hops, citrus, some notes of spice, vanilla, and lavender. flavor is very nice as well. definitely dominated by the sweet belgian yeast and spiciness with citrus flavors of grapefruit and lemon zest, vanilla, and light/sweet malts. has a very dry, bittersweet flavor after the swallow. palate is very smooth with solid carbonation and is quite crisp. i’m beginning to really enjoy this style and this a great example from stone. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 17, 2009 This beer has a tricky aspect to it. It smells like you are going to be drinking a belgian ale, but then the hop profile just hits your tongue. The yeast aroma is awesome. This beer has a nice yeast aroma to it. Then you taste the beer and the hops just explode on your tongue. Bravo, this beer has that nice dicotomy. The appearance isn’t anything special. It is very filtered, but still excellent. Average palate, but again this beer just has that awesome palate of sweet yeast and malt, and hop taste. Overall, an awesome beer with a wonderful yeast, and hop profile taste. I would definitely drink this beer if it were a regular offering.
