| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 5, 2009 Ok, this is up to now probably the best aromatics I’ve encountered in a beer. Damn. The combination of yeast and hops in the nose is what I want my wife to wear as perfume. Fresh on the vine goodness. Lush violet floral character in the sip, some astringency to the bitterness. I’ll buy this again for the aroma alone. lamas (716), Adams Morgan, Washington DC, USA

A clear, golden pour with a light-tan head. Powerfully hoppy aroma with TONS of grapefruits, pine needles, Golden Delicious apples, bananas, and a tangy funkiness. Thin to medium-bodied. A bit of caramel malty sweetness, Golden Delicious apples, and bananas upfront. Ample spiciness in there too. Finishes with lots of citrusy, grapefruity tangy dryness. Quite tasty. dalekliz (546), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 4, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear orange with a thick, foamy white head. Crisp, bitter hops aroma, with citrus and pine. Taste starts bitter with a hint of sweeter citrus fruits, before huge bitter hops kick in. Lingering crisp bitterness. Really nice IPA. parrisht (4), Boulder, Colorado, USA does not count | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 4, 2009 The stalwart Stone IPA with a Belgian yeast strain, adding a light doughy flavor and aroma. Great for those who enjoy Stone’s traditional IPA but looking for something a little lighter. can8ianben (903), Pasadena, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 3, 2009 Interesting. Notes of honey and hops in the nose. Some faint spicy yeastiness. Appearance is amber with a thicker frothy head. Flavor is sweet caramel and honey, with faint banana notes and a strong citrus touch on top of it all from the hops. I hoped it would have a bigger yeast note, also expected it to be cloudy - it seems more IPA than Belgian - but different enough that I’ve never tasted anything like it. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 3, 2009 22 oz bottle. Decent amount of hoppy aromas. Some bread-like aromas as well. Flavor was hoppier than yeasty. Very good take on a Belgian IPA. mar (1831), Dallas, Texas, USA
