On draught at the brewpub in Appleton, Wisconsin. Pours a dark copper amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates to a thin white ring. Aroma of caramel malt, a touch of white bread crust, grassy hops and a hint of citrus. Taste is light to medium bodied, some carbonation with flavors of dry caramel malt, grassy hops, and a hint of earthy herbs. Finish has a slight gritty texture and a mild bitter aftertaste.

Dark copper color with a thin off white head. Lightly roasted aroma with a dry, grainy taste and a touch of hops (cascade maybe?) and a very bitter finish. A little bland, not the best representation of the style.
