JPDIPSO (4863), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Jan 6, 2008 Dark brown color with a moderate creamy, cream colored head. Aromas of pale malt and lightly roasted coffee. Roasted malt flavors dominate, only a mild coffee influance. Some dark chocolate and black malt bitterness. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Dec 26, 2007 On draught at the brewpub in Appleton, Wisconsin. Pours an opaque dark brown brew with a creamy off-white head that has some excellent retention, thick lacing and glass content appeal. Aroma of roasted dark and black malt, some flowery hops, dark chocolate and a hint of coffee. Taste is where the coffee comes through, medium bodied, very light carbonation with flavors of dark roasted malt, flowery hops, some chocolate and plenty of coffee character. Finish is semi-dry, smooth with a dark malt and coffee aftertaste. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA Feb 22, 2007 Dark Brown Coloring with Tan Head. Little if Any Aroma. Medium to Thick Mouthfeel...Subtle Malt Character Light Burnt / Roasts Notes...Dry Bitter Chocolate Aftertaste.. Nice, but I Enjoy the Regular Stout Better.
