[Growler] shared by skyview. Pours a caramel brown with a soapy brown head. Aroma is vinous, tart, with cherry, caramel, and a touch of vinegar. Flavor is very interesting with a little bit of cherry, sweetish with no bitterness. Gets some extra points for effort.

Very dark brown in color. Well carbonated. Apple aroma. Unprocessed grain. A little sweet from teh malt. Unusual feeling of bubbles on the palate. I have had gruits and a beer without hops is OK, but this one is an absolute failure. Brew a dunkel. Brew a Vienna. they don’t require massive quantities of hops.

No hops used in this brew. Transparent black color with a thin white head and a light roasted malty taste. Not much aroma due to the lack of hops but still an interesting beer.

Dark brown color with a medium head. Apple and chalk aroma. A little less fruit in the flavor and a non-descript grain. The flavor dies very quickly. No taste at all from whatever kind of dark malt they used.

On draught at the Stone Cellar brewpub in Appleton, Wisconsin. Pours a clear dark copper amber brew with a slow dissolving white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing and white ring. Aroma of light caramel malt, a touch of apple and some toffee. Taste has a quick light caramel flavor that disappears faster than anything I ever experienced. Finish has a slight metallic texture, then a crisp, clean cut finish with no after taste. Definitely no hops in this all-malt beer and will satisfy beer drinkers who like medium to full bodied beers and hardly no flavor.
