Stone Cellar Hopatollie Ale

Served on draught at the Wisconsin Micro-brewers Beerfest in Chilton, Wisconsin. Pours a hazy light caramel amber brew with a creamy white head that slowly dissipates to a creamy thin head and excellent lacing. Aroma of both golden grain and caramel malts, a multiple complex of citrus zests including grapefruit, lemon, lime, tangerine and kiwi. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with a mild caramel malt flavor with plenty of citrus and pine bitterness to shake a stick at. Finish is where the bitterness really kicks in and lingers long after the finish. It’s bitter alright.
