Cloudy copper color with a thin off white head. Hoppy aroma with a hint of citrus. Taste is a little bitter and dry with a trace of caramel.

On draught at the brewpub, south of downtown Appleton, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-hazy copper amber brew with an average sized off-white head that slowly dissipates to an off-white ring. Aroma of citrus zest with mostly grapefruit character, a hint of caramel malt, with some light pineapple and spice. Taste is medium to full bodied, flavors of mostly citrus and grapefruit-ish hops that overpower some of the caramel malt flavor. Finish has a slight metallic aftertaste from the higher alcohol content with a continued light bitterness that lingers after the finish.

Lightly hazed dark amber to light copper in color with a smallish off-white head. Toasted grain and dried floral hops in the aroma. Caramel and toasted malt in the front. Nice citric to pine hops in the middle balance things out. Finish is rather dry but a decent resin in the back of the mouth. A traditional IPA in my book. Malt forward and plenty of hops. A good balance brew.

Growler. Pour was medium to deep golden with a fluffy white head. Very sweet and citrus aroma. Flavor was again sweet with only a medium hop bitterness backing up the malt. Very smooth brew with a good hop flavor but was a bit too sweet and not bitter enough for my ideal IIPA.

On tap at Stone Cellar. Color is a rusty copper color with medium off-white head. Aroma is rich floral and citrus hops with light notes of grapefruit. Taste is resinous hops, grapefruit, and caramel malt. Bitterness is well balanced and not over the top. There is a nice fruitiness and warmth to this one that I never had in another IIPA. Great brew!
