| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Aug 19, 2006 Bottle. Cloudy amber to light orange. Quickly diminishing head but leaving some bands of lacing. Aroma of piney hops and a little fresh dirt or sod (not meant in a bad way). Basic IPA hop versus malt character, with a bit of vegemite on the finish (old yeast strain?). A little too watery. Sure to be exquisite on tap after a day of skiing at Sunday River, but I’m not too impressed at the moment. sirsirus (60), Boston, Massachusetts, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 3, 2006 This IPA pours an orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is minimal, some hops and wood, touch of fruitiness. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. Hops are piney and floral. Sort of a west coast IPA in its intensity, but not quite. A medium bitter IPA. Carbonation is perhaps a little flat. Nice balance. There is a small touch of wood at the finish. A very drinkable IPA, would possibly work as a session beer. . Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
