Pours brown with an off white head. Smells of chocolate, sweet malt, molasses. Tastes of sweet caramel, chocolate, lots of roastiness and a peppery finish.

Bottle courtesy of joepais poured into a tulip. Pours a deep chocolate brown, almost black, with a huge creamy tan head that showed great retention and good lacing. The aroma is much sweeter than I expected with some dark chocolate malts and only faint hints of coffee. The taste follows the aroma with a milky chocolate sweetness on top of roasted malts. The mouthfeel is highly carbonated and fairly light. This is a decent stout but not one that stands out in any way.

figured I would grab a bottle before they disappear. Bottle poured into a snifter produced a couple of fingers worth of tan head that turns to a thick lace .The body was a typical black color no light coming thru at all. The aromas of roasted malts and chocolate filled my nose. There a touch of sweetness as well This stout was a pleasant surprise, sweeter than I expected in a stout. You get the typical stout flavors of coffee and chocolate but the bitter is tamed by a nice sweet flavor that comes thru. This has a medium body with good carbonation a good combination for this stout. Good drinkability on this stout the bomber was easy to finish, another brew to be missed from Stone Coast

Pours a one finger light tan head that fades quickly, leaving a little lace. Almost black color, faint mahogany highlights. Good carbonation and heavy bodied. Chocolate nose. Flavor is smooth chocolate with a slight baker’s chocolate finish. $5.99 for a 500ml bottle from Manchester Wine and Liquors Manchester, CT. Stamp on bottom of bottle has brew date of Feb 26.

22. Thanks, 46er3498! Black, but with crystal clear garnet highlights. Rich roasty chocolatey, plummy nose. Creamy, soft, low-carb, medium body. Raisiny bread pudding mid-palate. Long mildly sweet chocolatey finish.

Clean dark brown stout with a thin dark moka head. In aroma, sweet chocolate, sugar cane and vanilla bean. In mouth, rich coffee beans and bitter chocolate, light hopping, sustained roastiness. Medium bodied. Sampled at Vermont Brewfest July 19 2008.
