Commercial Description:
Evocative of the beautiful colors of a New England autumn, say World Series season, this beer is deep amber in color. It is lightly hopped and extremely enjoyable as a lingering roasted character finishes this medium-bodied lager. Raise a glass to America’s favorite past-time and New England’s favorite pitcher.

12oz bottle from my brother-in-law’s beer of the month delivery! - Pours amber with not much head. Aromas of caramel malt, light toasted malts, and grassy hops. Flavor is toasted malts, light caramel, and brief german hops on the finish. Palate is sweet and a touch on the watery side. Not bad.. just nothing memorable about this one.

Bottle - Poured a dark reddish amber in color with a thin whitish head that faded quickly. Aroma is malty with faint hops. Flavor is not strong... a bit watery. Some maltiness, but also some unpleasent sour aftertaste. Lack of flavor is a major deduction... not a good effort or worth repeating.

12 oz bottle. Color is amber and completely lucid. Aroma is weak - watery malt. No taste, maybe some watered down hops. A really useless bock that gives beer like it a bad name.

there really wasn’t much you can say about this. Had it at a beerfest - it wasn’t memorible and it wasn’t high in alc. or flavor.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear brown with a large sudsy off-white head that settled to a film before mid-glass. Light aroma of malt, grain, and a bit of stale tobacco. The flavor is more of the same. There is a bit of caramel present in the flavor, but it lacks the sweetness or texture. Thin, watery mouthfeel. This knuckleball really misses the plate.

Original Rating 5/13/06. On tap at the LI Beer Festival. Not a real Bock, but a blend of Bock and Lager. Had this been described as a lager, I might have rated it higher. As a bock, this beer is too weak. 6-3-5-2-10=2.6

This was not good...maybe old...maybe not...but I’ve done my share of thoughtful rating recently so I figured I earned myself at least a 1 brainless rant for this next hundred. This beer tastes like swampass...actually the name balls suits it well. The pour was outrageous...disgustingly huge and awful taste/smelling head. I drain poured it in about 2 sips...and I usually muscle through shitty beers. F this beer.

Light amber body, smallish white head. Sweet malty aroma, mold toasty notes witha bit of a tang. Sweet flavour of toasty malt, has a dry hoppy finish. Lingering dryness in the aftertaste. Average palate. Underwhelming.
