Love the bitters, love the aroma. For me it loses to 90 Minute on palate and finish. I think the higher alcohol content gives 90 Minute the fullness on the palate that the thinner Stone IPA just can’t do. But the higher carbonation of the Stone IPA gives adds a touch to keep it close. ketchepillar (488), Des Moines/Grinnell, Iowa, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 19, 2009 Surprised I hadn’t rated this before. This rating is from two draft pints at some L.A. restaurant. Nice fresh hop aroma, a little grassy in a nice way. Fruity. Something about the character of the hops, reminiscent of SNPA, that I don’t like, well, I like it, but it’s not my favorite hop profile, flavor wise. Slightly too high carbonation. georgekillian (228), USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 16, 2009 Pours from bottle clear pale yellow-orange, with a nice bubbly head. Very nice earthy hop aroma, not to overpowering. Smooth, hoppy, and a nice bitter bite. Finishes leaves a watering mouth. Very balance beer, malt and hop, hop and malt, this is a very nice IPA. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 14, 2009 Growler. Super-solid IPA. Pours a nice, light orange-gold with a fine white head. Heavy aroma of bitter hops, noting pine and citrus. Flavor is a hop roller coaster: exciting and exhilarating. (None of the experience made me want to hurl, mind you.) Very mild hints of malt. Alcohol is almost undetectable. Bitter, crisp, lip-smacking finish with lingering hops on the tongue. Really, really good. TreborWhip (100), Reading, Pennsylvania, USA

Nice IPA with a little citrusy sweetness, hints of spices, and a nice hoppy bitterness. Well balanced and enjoyable. tpd975 (251), Riverview, Florida, USA

A: Pours a nice golden yellow color with a head that looks like whipped egg whites. There are a few bubbles racing too the top, and some beautiful lacing left behind.
S: This one has a nice big aroma. I poured it into my De Verboden Vrucht chalice which let the aroma waft into the air. There is a wonderful citrus aroma here. I smell grapefruit, limes, and lemon, with an underlying touch of pine.
T: I love every Stone beer I have ever tried and this one is no exception. It starts out with a splash of citrus and the bite of some of the earths most wonderful hops. It finishes with a nice sweetness as it runs down my throat.
M: Medium bodied with a nice bite from the hops. bobman006 (75), New Jersey, USA
