Commercial Description:
Look up "hops" in the dictionary and you’ll see a picture of Stone IPA! "Dry-hopped" for an extra two weeks, this unique process gives our IPA its bountiful hop aroma and rich hop flavor. A full 70+ IBUs (International Bitterness Units) creates this beer’s crisp and refreshing bitter character.

12oz bottle. So staggeringly drinkable. The hops are evident from the moment the cap is popped. I had this alongside some excellent IPA’s and it stood just that extra step above. Thick, viscous mouthfeel and evident complexity of hops with just the right malt backing to convince the drinker that they are in the hands of a master brewer. Wonderfully long finish. Tantalizingly good from the best IPA brewers in the country.

Great beer. The smell is hoppy, but inviting. I think that is my favorite feature of the beer. Good session beer.

Purchased by a friend while videotaping a Jazz/Fusion show. I had one hand on the camcorder and the other on a glass of some now forgotten Flying Fish offering when a shift of the wind brought a Stone IPA into my reality. I hadn’t been the same since. Thank you Stone for big hops, ruination, arrogance and a reason to pursue other Stone offerings.

Good for the style. Just a little too much for me. High marks for quality, low on drinkability. Not my favorite style, so keep my bias in mind when considering my rating. Another solid stone offering.

Bottle and Draft. Pours a copper body with a white head. Earthy chewy, caramel with a light bubblegum character to it. A good ipa but more IBUs would really make this crazy.

A hazy yellow ale with an airy white head. Citrus nose with some pine the malt aroma is hidden but there. The taste is hoppy with a good balance of malts. It is sweet and bitter, a good IPA. A strong medium body beer with a nice lingering hop taste. Overall a well balanced IPA.

Excellent IPA. Lots of floral hops in the nose and a similar taste. Finishes smooth with a hint of citrus.
