12 oz. bottle. a light aroma of sweet, bitter hop. pours a thin white head, semi cloudy gold. flavor of bitter hop, sweet banana. subtle malts and fine hop content for i p a. dry after taste, far from overpowering , as some over hopped i p a ’s can be. this is a fine i p a, but not a ’99 ’ for me.

Pours an orangy straw color with a thin head and nice lacing. It tastes exactly how an IPA should taste. This isnt an overpowered IPA trying to be too much, bordering on a DIPA, this is a perfectly crafted hoppy but balanced IPA. Good amount of citrus, not too much pine, and a smooth sweet malt finish. Starts dry, finishes sticky. Kind of like me with your mom.

Bottle. A yellowy-orange color, a bit lighter than I expected, with a nice foamy, fluffy, and clean off-white head. Lots of rich, fresh, piney, earthy, citrusy hops in the aroma. Broadly hopped, no doubt, as the flavor is dominated by them, in all the same variety as the aroma. Just a little bit of malt sweetness hiding in the background. A nice sharp bitterness lingers in the back of the mouth. Smoothly and finely carbonated. How come I’ve never tried this before now? Seriously, I’ve been missing out on an exceptional IPA.

Solid IPA. Nothing too hard to handle with a moderately masked sweet finished so the bitterness is finely juxtaposed. I like

On tap at DLD ’09. Pours an absolutely crystal clear, bright golden body with a gorgeous, two-finger width, foamy and dense, off-white head that never dissipates entirely and stays extremely lacy. Sexual. Aroma is loaded with citrus. Lots of sour grapefruits and oranges. Some soft malts hold it together nicely, but mostly juicy, fresh off the vine hops. I’m taken back by how good this smells for being so simple. The flavor is brilliantly straightforward as well. Intensely hoppy. Tons of citrus and medium earthiness. A deep pine taste, like middle of the damn forest deep. Some melony goodness comes in as well as simple caramels and light bready notes. Lingers forever. Medium bodied, crisp yet smooth, and surprisingly easy drinking for such a hop explosion. Overall, phenomenal. Assertive, but never out of balance or over-the-top. Wow! Definitely tied for the #1 spot on my IPA board.
