Grapefruit aroma with malt sweetness. Flavor is citrus hops, pine hops, and a fair amount of malt balance. Not as in your face as Ruination but quite good.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 28, 2009 A grey market import bottle from beerstore.co.nz, so its not up to its best. But here it is anyway: Pours golden, thin white head. Aroma is sweet, with a hint of piny citrus hop, candyish malt. Bitterness dominates initially, a nice unique hop character, with a balancing caramelly malt. dnstone (279), Mons, Belgium

dry and aroma hoping is obvious, but main hop profile seems to come from early/bittering additions.
super-hoppy but not-really-bitter.
^drinkable, great-clean-fresh-hops.
it’s the very noticeable sweet biscuity malt backbone along with the fresh juicy (not bitter) hop character that makes this so good. GrungyBob (51), Kettering, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 23, 2009 Bottle, Pours a hazy amber with soft effervescent head. Lots of bubbles causes nice lacing. Aroma, Soft hops citrus and spruce. Taste, is mild with pine and spruce and grapefruit aftertaste - some bitterness with dry finish. The hop flavor lingers but never produces the tongue tingle. Its a solid beer but not great Oddefellowe (63), Tampa, Florida, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Dec 22, 2009 Pours a clear, light orange color. Very effervescent and transparent. Pleasant, yet mild aroma. Floral on the nose. Hoppy taste that takes a little time bubbling on the palate to develop, and leaves a nice lingering bitterness. Nicely balanced, all in all pretty darned good. cexshun (83), Portage, Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Pours a crystal clear straw yellow scarily like macro swill. Smallish snow white head clings and leaves massive lacing. Honestly, looks like Miller Lite. Even my wife said "I thought you don’t drink that cheap stuff." Nose dominate by citrus and malt. Classic one dimensional IPA aroma. Crisp flavor of grapefruit. Strong bitterness at the finish. Lively mouth feel. High carbonation level is just right for the style. A pretty decent IPA. Ugly as hell, but still very tasty.
