Medium honey/ruddy amber color with a very light tan head. The aroma and flavor is straight grapefruit and the only notable part about this beer. Refreshing for a hot summer day due to this citrusy character. livelaughlovep (96), Lakewood, Ohio, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 28, 2009 Pours a beautiful mahogany brown with a medium white head. Aroma is very hoppy, little nutty, with a bit of citrus. Drinks very light, much hoppier than I expected, but hey this is Stone so maybe I should of known. Slight nut and vanilla flavors in there, but overall kind of hollow. I think it needs a stronger malt presence to balance it out a bit, its kind of watery. I know this is supposed to be a session beer, and don’t get me wrong I would drink this all day long if on tap alongside the crappy domestics, but I think it is lacking just a bit. Overall not bad though. italarican (170), Astoria, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 28, 2009 This poured a beautiful mahogany wood color with a thin head. A little hoppy, a little bitter, and a little watery. Overall, a little good, if that makes sense. DuffManSW (297), Riverside, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 27, 2009 Bottle from World Market.. Pours a reddish copper with a creamy off white head..Some pine and citrus hops with a little malt in the nose.. Slightly sweet with some nice hop bitterness to it. Kinda thin.. Overall I like this one, easy to drink if you like hops. oteyj (796), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 27, 2009 Ruby copper pour with one finger off white head. Aroma is of floral and grassy hops with grapefruit and some biscuit-like malt coming through as well. Flavor is a great balance of the typical west coast hop bomb stylin’ (Though to a lesser degree) that Stone does so well and a subtle, almost sweet malt character. Hops definitely prevail in this one. Palate is smooth and lightly carbonated with a hop-induced semi-dry finish. Clean and begging to be sipped. Superb for the style- a very dark and hoppy example. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 26, 2009 Growler from Big Z. Probably one of the best session beers ever. Pricey for a session beer though. Well balanced and easy to drink, even for the non hop-head. The light sweetness offset the hop bitterness without killing the hop flavor. I’ll pick up a 6pk most definitely. punkrkr27 (649), Berkley, Michigan, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 26, 2009 Brown pour with a slight ruby highlight and a 1-finger, loose, tan head. Nutty, toasty, earthy caramel malt aroma with a good balance of spicy pine and citrus hops. Floral and spicy hop notes punctuate the flavor with hints of orange zest, almond, and a robust caramel malt background. There’s a touch of dry, toasted, biscuit that lingers afterwords too. Medium body with a nice amount of carbonation that gives it a crisp finish. This is a nicely crafted session beer.
