Commercial Description:
This deep amber ale has rich & roasty malt flavors, a big hoppy character, citrus overtones (courtesy of the hops and our special brewers yeast) and modest alcohol.

Picked up three bottles and enjoyed each and every one on a relaxing Friday night. It’s been a long time since I’ve drank one beer three times in the same setting, but this is one remarkably drinkable ale with enough character to please the senses without destroying the palate. This is nice; flavorful, well rounded, and mild. Session beer is an understatement. Dark amber color bordering on brown, 1" thick long lasting head and oodles of frothy lacing. Aroma is floral and nutty, very fresh hop nose along with a biscuit scent. Malty body with a moderate hop bite, great balance. Such big flavors for a tame brew. Caramel, toasted bread, and cashews. Citrus and evergreen accents to compliment the malts. Very, very good.

Bottle. Best by 4/09/09. Pours dark amber, clear and transparent though dark. A fluffy off-white head sits on top. Aroma is semi-sweet, cotton candy, malts, slightly crackery and biscuity. Flavor is pretty mild with some nice maltiness. Smooth on the palate, very easy to drink. Balanced and very sessionable. This is definitely a strong session candidate. Nothing spectacular but respectable.

clear, dark brown like cherry chocolate with a 2 finger foamy head. nose is well balanced with malt+hops, and a little bit of sugar. taste is much more hoppy than the nose, and rather mild and bitter. all around a little too hoppy, with not enough malt to balance it out. I can handle the IBUs, but there needs to be a little more malt base to build on.

Crushed with Jakebra. Nice hoppy, sweet malt nose. Hops definitely dominate the flavor. A great dry, bitter finish follows. Plenty of awesomeness in this one.

Bottle from uto with mes at 3.8, however again in the rake it went upto 4.1. Biscuity crisp malt, grapefruit, citrus, new zealand hop? Good sessionable stuff, very drinkable. Infact its bloody awsome, too bad its £4:50 a bottle.

12oz bottle. Hazy dark amber is almost tea coloured. Thick head. Very nice mix of malt and alcohol scent mixed with dominant hops. Flavour is a malty light IPA which makes it an above average Amber. Low ABV is a nice touch.

Draft at Dilly Deli. Poured a clear copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasted and had good lacing. Good malty and citrus hoppy aroma. Medium body with slick dry texture and flat carbonation. Moderate well balanced smooth flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good session brew.

Finally, it only too like a few decades, seemingly, to get this brew to Ohio, but here it is in my hot little hands. Pour is glassy copper with a nice cream head. Aroma is typical Stone, even for an amber, it is bursting with hop aroma. The nice medium amber flavor makes this one a wonderfully refreshing drink. Not too dominating in any aspect, and certainly a quality offering, even though it is not over the top.
