Aromas of sharp hops, nutmeg spice, and dry malt. Bitter orange and grapefruit, along with some soap. Bittering finish. Tons of flavor for a very low-alcohol beer. I’m not sure why it’s $11 for a six-pack, though. DJMonarch (6941), Northwich, Cheshire, England

Pine fruit aroma. Amber coloured and smooth on the palate with a crisp and very dry lasting malt finish. ben4321 (1061), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Aroma: The aroma is citrus and orange hops, some caramel, some malts, and other fruits as well
Appearance: It pours a nice clearish red-amber color with a thick, frothy tan head, that leaves a lot of lace
Flavor: The taste is not quite as nice as the nose, but it is pretty good, pretty balanced between the hops and malts
Palate: The body is light-medium, but with a nice (I’ll be it dry) mouthfeel, and slightly watery texture
Overall Impression:
I’m surprised I’ve never rated this one before, I’ve had it quite a few times, and at 4.4% it remains one heck of a session ale. This one has a lot of the typically Stone qualities that I really like in their beers, and it is a very solid example of what an Amber Ale can be. Overall, it makes for a great session that you can enjoy many of considering the gravity of the beer. A really nice, quality session brew.

A little watery at times, but it is a fairly weak beer. Nice balance of caramel malts and light citrus hops. Lightly dry with a peppery finish. grimreaperguru (26), santee, California, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 31, 2009 12 oz bottle- Pours deep amber with a thick head, aroma is of malt. The flavor is very malty, definitely better than your normal amber ale, but this is the worst Stone beer I’ve ever had.
