Commercial Description:
This deep amber ale has rich & roasty malt flavors, a big hoppy character, citrus overtones (courtesy of the hops and our special brewers yeast) and modest alcohol.

an amazingly potent amber ale, one with a heavier dose of hops and malts than i expected. definitely one to try if you are a fan of amber ales.

Bottle from craft store. Honey amber pour with a light tan head. Aroma of grapefruit and sweet roasted malt. Citrusy hoppy finish and well balanced. It was good.

12oz bottle. Pours a nice copper color with a big creamy head that holds well. The smell is pretty much all hops with just a trace of malt sweetness and slight notes of citrus. The initial flavor is hoppy with a clean smooth character that cuts the malt sweetness which only appears at the end. Lightish in body and mild carbonation.

Right. A very good hoppy ale. Noticeable hops, especially on the aftertaste. Not bitter.

30/11/2009. 12oz bottle, purchased in San Diego and brought back by a friend of a friend in a suitcase. No black or grey market goings on here! Amber, clear, quite drinkable but has a slightly harsh combination of melanoidin toastiness and resinous hops (hop aroma reminds me of "the cousin"). A BIG session beer.

Bottle served in an English pint. Hazy dark amber in color with a one-finger light tan head. Sweet malt aroma. Also fruity, maybe blood oranges, and some hops. Light-medium body, soft carbonation, and a creamy mouthfeel. Mildy bitter flavor and finish.

I think I may have actually levitated whilst drinking this brew... maybe I was drunk?! Very solid brew... chewy and thick in taste, lots of roasted malts, the word amber can be used to describe the overall feel. Warm and inviting with some great earthy tones.
