On tap at Winter Storm ’09. Pours a dark amber color with a beige head. The flavor of this beer changes like the colors on a mood ring. What the hell is in this? Smells of pine. Tastes of clover and grease. Curiousity overshadows this beer’s shortcomings.

Pours red-brown with very thin head. Caraway aroma. Smells a lot like tea. Almost tastes like tea too. More caraway, herbs, mint. A bit medicine-like. Interesting and unique.

Bottle: Brown pour with a thin beige head. Spicey nose is corriander, spruce, and juniper. Light floral taste with spices before going into a lingering medicinal thing. Thanks Toby.

2008 Bottle - forgot who brought this one, but thanks! - Pours a dk brown with a small whiteish head... aroma is very spicy, pine, ginger, maybe just gin...flavour is bright, I get the sage and some yeast, finish is bitter, with the spices fighting over which one gets to linger last...I couldn’t decide which...

Mahogany brown. Spicy nose. Nuanced and delicious throughout. Tasting grapes, genever, and a panoply of grain. Must try again.

Hazy dark amber. Spicy, toasty aroma. Good complexity. Decent spice, dryish finish. Strong JP character.

I don’t get this beer. It’s overly sweet, but has this stale rum butter flavor that makes it interesting at first, but cloyingly sweet after. Tastes more like a marinade than a beer. Ever hear the expression ’too many cooks?’ Oh I see what they’re going after - Gin and Juice. Overly sweet and way to heavy. It may be that I just wasn’t in the mood for a sugarbomb right now. I will re-rate it when I might be more into it. BEER WARMS: OMG, totally different beer. Flavor of oak, raisin and fig. The woody and leafy notes really come out in this. Note to all: DO NOT SERVE AT FRIDGE TEMP!

Bottle courtesy of sebletitje. Pours a generally clear light cola brown color with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet and spicy with notes of malt, fresh fruit, spice, yeast. Flavor is also malty and spicy with notes of fresh fruit, yeast, some hints of ripe dark fruit, bread, some floral hops. Generally medium body with a sweet and spicy finish.
