12 fl. oz bottle enjoyed@Olympen Oslo. A thin light brown head covering a clear, dark ruby brown body. Caramel, plum marmelade, some rummy notes and a whiff of marzipan in the aroma. Also spices, the caraway seeds is well exposed. Dark malty, light sour-sweet, nicely spiced flavor. Alcohol is noticable. Berry-ish fruitiness. Creamy mouthfeel. Well-bodied. Moderately bitter, warming, and spiced finish. One of its kind, a really tasty and interesting brew.

Bottle from Holiday Wine Cellar shared with mspindler..Pours dark burgandy with a light brown head.. Aroma is herbal with a little caramel.. Flavor is roasty, spicey with some caramel and a lingering bitterness.. Creamy palate.. Ok beer I remember liking it better on tap at stone when it first came out.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of joergen. Pours a clear amber golden with a yellowish/brown head. Hard roasted malt and spices in the nose. Quite full-bodied, hard roasted malt and a piquante spicy note that never becomes too much. Fairly bitter finish - most likely from the spices also. But not a bad stab at a Holiday ale. 270609

Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours a dark brow color with a small white head. Aroma is filled with spices, nuts, caramel and lightly of chocolate and some gingerbread. Also a bit vinous. Flavour is - as the aroma - really spicy and Christmas-like, with clear nutty notes, though I must say the aftertaste is a bit short. Fullbodied on the palate, smooth texture, and soft carbonation. A quite nice beer.

Bottle. High creamy and lasting light brown head. Hazy ruby body. Powerful spicy aroma with nutty notes and a good deal of hops as well. Flavor an interesting and complex mix of spices and herbs with a bit of mint and caramel but not especially hoppy. Low carbonation. Long aftertaste.
