| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 11, 2009 Bottle: Brownish amber, moderate to large foamy light beige head, few rings of lacing.   Spicy nose, cardamom and juniper galore.   Smells somewhat like a Christmas Wreath!   Very very spicy on the nose.   Noticeable alcohol.   Malty on the tongue, sweet, spicy, cardamom and juniper.   The sage and chestnut are light.   Very warming, luckily not that alcoholic as suggested by the nose.   Full bodied, fairly thick mouthfeel.   A little over the top as far as spices go, but rather tasty.   Great Holiday offering!

| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Dec 26, 2009 Bottle. 22 oz. Split with Vin. Pours a beautiful chesnt with a two finger beige head. Aroma of ginger, cinnamon, juniper, oak, yeast, bread, oats, and corriander. The mouthfeel is amazing; slightly sticky, yet still smooth and easygoing. The finish is slow and a bit numbing under the tongue, with a great warming. Overall, this is probably the best Christmas brew I have ever sampled. Excellent brew. stangger (156), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 25, 2009 Bottle. Pours cloudy dark brown with huge tan head that settles. Aroma of licorice and various spices - ginger nutmeg and others, also noticeable pumpkin. Taste is different than you would expect - in a good way. Lots of malt depth but also good amount of hops that I did not detect in the smell, also some light coffee notes. Daytonbeer (21), Ohio, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 22, 2009 Bottle: The aroma consists of caramel, banana bread, cinnamon, and juniper. It pours a mostly transparent copper with lots of sediment and a half inch beige head that fades to a thin film within a minute or so. The flavor starts with light caramel and banana bread. The finish has light-moderate juniper berries, a hint of cinnamon, and slight oxidation. It’s medium-full bodied with mild carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. joshuahfl (12), California, USA
