dpjuart (670), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 17, 2007 7/4/07. Bomber split with ’Naka and Jeffy. Poured amber color with small head. Very malty with little hop character. Nice alcohol warmth. Good. . . .very good. lgklotet (420), Singapore, Singapore Jul 13, 2007 Bottle at Oliver Twist. Big and chewy. Malt-dominated barley wine. The 11% are very well hidden and this is quite smooth and the closest thing to a "session" barley wine if there ever was one.. LyndaNova (492), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Jul 9, 2007 Cold 22oz bottle: Pours a hazy medium orange color with a decent sized fluffy tan head. Pine, malt, flowers and notes of fruit and caramel. Very intense flavors well mingled together for a burst of flavor. Medium to heavy bodied and crisp with good carbonation. Ending is of flowers and caramel notes. kevin62 (267), New Jersey, USA Jul 7, 2007 This bottle pored out to an amber color with aa small head.Notes of malt and caramel in the aroma, also in the taste, as well as fruit and toffee.I really like barley wines and this is a good one. madsberg (4873), Søborg, Denmark Jul 1, 2007 Updated: Dec 13, 2007Bottled Vintage 2006 + 2007. Amber coloured. .Unclear. Dense beige head. Pines, alcohol, sweetness, herbs and flowers in the aroma. Massive. Flavour is flowery, sweet and piney. Caramel and light fruits are notable. Full bodied. Is quite dyr. Is bitter and caramelly in the end. Thanks to Storm for sharing this, which turned out to be my American beer no. 600. Fantastic beer to celebrate this. MagooinPA (99), Warminster, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 1, 2007 From Vadalia’s in Landsdale. Nice pour to a thick creamy head that lasted only seconds but laced nicely.Rather light amber color for such a big Barley Wine. Nice sweet nose of malt, malt, malt, + some more malt. Nice balance of hops for such a big beer too. Very sweet and sticky like a good piece of caramel and just enough carbonation to remind you this is a beer. The abv heat is not as extreme as I expected but is the nice little warm feeling your left with after each drink. Make this bomber last awhile to appreciate it. This would age very nicely for 2-3 yrs. It is a shame it would never last that long in my house. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA Jun 26, 2007 Pours a slightly cloudy amber color with a small bit of head. Looks pretty thick. Nice evenly balanced aroma that has a stiff hop character, but is complimented by a rich malt background and a good deal of alcohol. Thick, sticky palate. Floral hop twinge to start, slightly spicy malt heat finish. Nice BW, hops not too overpowering, overall well-balanced. Haslinger (640), Syracuse, New York, USA Jun 26, 2007 Updated: Feb 4, 2008Very strong, my first barley wine ever and I enjoyed it. Drinking a 22oz of this is the equivalent of drinking 6 typical beers in alcohol content. Would buy again
