| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Apr 15, 2007 2007 release 22 oz bomber. Poured a reddish copper color with a nice size head. Aroma is complex with hops, caramel sweetness, brown sugar, and some biscuit. Flavor is just as complex with only a slight alcohol warming but is incredibally smooth considering the 11.26%. Stupid me only bought one bottle now I know for next year to horde it like a squirell gathering nuts for the winter. jkwalking05 (1485), Arlington, Texas, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jun 6, 2007 Bottle of the ’07. Fairly fruity aroma. It makes your breath fruity and boozy. Just thought I’d throw that out there. Sweet grain flavor, and a sticky, thick palette. All backed up with more fruity/floral hops. yobdoog (1477), Woodridge NY, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 21, 2009 Aroma is always huge. Ages well for a few years. Hops mellow as this seems to be a pretty hoppy barleywine when fresh. Aroma of molasses, caramel, pine hops and sweetness. Flavor is big, thick and rich with hops over the smooth caramel malts and sugar. Lots of alcohol on the finish, very hot, I prefer older bottles. IPFreely (1470), Lewiston, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 15, 2005 Beautiful red amber color, full beige head, sticky lace. Aroma is full of sweetness, mostly maple and fig, plenty of booze and some hops. Flavor is pretty sweet, maple again, boozy alcohol and some bitter hops on the tail end. I liked the body but the alcohol was pretty overwhelming. Give this one a couple years and hopefully it will mellow out a bit. TheEpeeist (1470), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 26, 2009 22 oz bottle, early 2007. Clear pinkish brown with a beige coating. Nose is caramel, candied orange peel and grass. Soft medium body with minimal carb. Taste is apple, toffee and citrus peel with a smooth, bitter lemon finish. Simple but solid, alcohol well hidden. I’m not a big fan of hoppy barleywines but aging seems to have helped this one. joeycapps (1466), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 6, 2005 2004 Vintage. Slight hazy golden amber w/ creamy finger of pale tan foam. Big, hoppy aroma of grapefruit & pine w/ sold malts (toffee, caramel) in the background. Full-bodied, extremely resiny feel. Big, hoppy & very bitter flavour but still enough malt to support. Very long finish.
