2009 bottle thanks to WeeHeavySD. poured a nice gold with a off-white head that stays and laces the glass. aroma of pine, citrus, caramel, and some slight dark fruits. flavor was much the same with the addition of grass and alcohol. the body was the first thing i noticed on this. body was full and slick with what seemed to be high carbonation. pretty good as is now, but i should of listened to some advice and cellar the beer longer.

"Early 2007" Vintage; courtesy of HomeBrewHawk. Pours a deep golden orange-copper with a creamy ecru head. The nose is a nice blend of perfumy, floral, citric and evergreen hop notes over a warm, round, fruity malt. Medium-bodied and soft on the tongue, it turns a bit prickly and fairly bitter at the finish. The flavor is of sweet, round malt with the same blend of hop notes found on the nose. This stuff is quite tasty. Thanks again for the bottle, Pete!

2004 bottle: Inside of a pumpkin orange pour with small off white head. Light dried fruit aroma. Nice rich malt start with a deep hop finish. A lot of sugar i this one. Didn’t taste the big alcohol, but felt it was there.

22oz bottle. Vintage 2007. Pours cloudy, dark amber with a good sized, tan head, good lace. Smells big and sweet, caramelly malty. Lots of alcohol as well. Tastes of alcohol and sweet, syrupy caramel malts and some hop spice. Full body, good carbonation.
2004. on-tap at Naja’s a couple months back. Pours hazy orange with a thin white head, specks of lace. Smells malty and caramelly sweet with a slight hop spice. Tastes boozy, followed by sweet malts and a slight hop spiciness. Full body, decent carbonation. 836315=3.5

Had a bottle of the early limited 2006 release. The aroma is of fruit. Pours a reddish golden. The flavor is fruity and very hoppy with a slight cloying finish.

So I’m crushing with my Honkeybra, aight, and he’s like, "I wanna hear the description." So I pull out my microscope and read the whole thing off and by the end he’s almost done with the brew. Needless to say, he was in a much more intense mood than I by the end of the description.

2008 Bottle - All malt and fire at first. As it sat, the alcohol mellows, or maybe its just my brain going numb. One sip tells you its Stone, I’m guessing it will be better in a couple years...

Fiery burnt orange body with a towering milky white head. Thick and syrupy...coats the inside of the glass and leaves tremendous sticky lacing. Aroma is brown sugar, toffee, and caramel with a hint of ripe citrus. Flavor follows; not overly sweet but does have a bit of an alcohol punch. Another solid brew from Stone.
