Amber-orange pour with a white head. Aroma of malts and hops. Light to medium body. Flavor is light, pale malts with a bitter hops finish. Very solid.

Dec 26, 2009 Stone Pale Ale is a slightly hazy, lively, reddish light amber ale with a fluffy, waxy, lumpy, yellowish head that has excellent retention and lacing. It has a grassy aroma with some light malt. here are notes of bread and pineapple. It’s medium-light bodied and lively on the tongue. he finish is crisp and clean. It’s well balanced, not very bitter, but quite hoppy. It’s bright and fruity with notes of tropical fruit, pineapple and tangerine. It’s a refreshing session ale.

flavor: sweet-malt juicy-hops T1, rich-toasty-malt §barley-wine-alchl T2, short mild toasty §leafy-hops T3.
comes across as heftier than it really is, makes for a nice session beer.

Dec 13, 2009 Pours a red orange clear with minimal head and lacing. Aroma is citrus hops, caramel malts and lemon. Flavor is bittersweet. Palate is crisp, clean and refreshing. Overall, solid beer, easy drinker.

Dec 4, 2009 12 oz Bottle -- Pours reddish-amber with a thick off-white head. Lots of grassy and grain notes on the nose with good sweetness. A little caramel is also present and maybe a hint of pear. Dry finish.

Dec 1, 2009 RnH: pint: Embarassed to say I intended this brew to be a palate cleanser during a tasting session... great surprise! A darker, more rich pour than expected, deep amber, leaving about .5 finger of off-white head. The nose was more bitter than expected, medium sweaty hops... also some light citrus/ sour notes. Taste also has a similar balance, higher hop content than I expected from the style (nice surprise again), offset with the citrus and sugars. Easily sessionable brew, very satisfying.

Nov 25, 2009 Bright and hoppy, with a smooth, deep malt finish. Light caramel in color, with clean white head. Moderately carbonated, not too overpowering. One of my favorite pale ales, as it is incredibly well balanced.

Nov 25, 2009 I had this in the bottle. It has a white head and looks like a light brown with a little carbonation. Tastes bitter with malty after-taste.
