Commercial Description:
So called because of the immediate ruinous effect on your palate. 100+ IBUs. Bracingly bitter. Thick, pungent hop aroma. We would say that no hops were injured in the brewing of this beer, but that would be a massive lie. In fact, the words "Stone Ruination IPA" are what older hop vines use to cause little hop vines to quiver with fright and lose sleep at night . We at Stone honor the brutal massacre of countless hops with this "Liquid poem to the glory of the hop!" Paganism at its best!

If I was a Hop-Head, I would be in heaven, but since I am not, this beer is a mission to finish, but still fun. It glows a glorious orange and releases a wave of fantastic smell. It has a flavor that continually permeates your mouth. It has no head, but fine lacing.

12oz bottle. Cloudy pale copper color with a thin tan head that faded quickly. Nice nose of skunky hops. Extremely bitter with a light malty sweetness to help balance it out. you can taste the alcohol a little bit, but not too much. I prefer Stone’s standard IPA.

Bottle Pours an orange gold with a big off white head. The head produces very nice lacing. Has a wonderful hoppy aroma of grasses, citrus and pine. Has good mouthfeel and perfect carbination. Good bitterness and a nice aftertaste. This is a good one.

Pours clear reddish amber with a bit of white head. The aroma is great - earthy bitter Cascade hops. The flavor is like the smell - bitter hop oil from Cascade and Centennial hops with a good malt backbone. The mouthfeel is normal. Overall this is a great hop bomb.

12 oz beer bottle poured into a tall wheat beer like glass. May be why I couldn’t pick up much aroma. Appearance is a medium-deep gold with a very faint orange. Initially a medium-heavy creamy head that eventually fell to medium-small, leaving slight lace. Mouth feel is initially smooth followed by a slightly more aggressive tingle. Flavor is obviously hop dominated with a hint of what may be caramel. Bitterness sets in, and although it is strong it isn’t quite ruinatingly bitter. Overall its an extremely enjoyable beer and probably one of my top 5 favorites at the time of this writing.

Rich creamy malt and hops aromas. Pine and pineapple with some fruity sweetness. Clear amber/orange with lightly off white head. Good malty backbone with rich sweet middle and solid bitter hoppy finish. Well balanced. Some spiced cake and cookie and a light woodiness. Farily thick but not too much so. Some creaminess. Hoppy duration mellows to a candied sugary finish. Quite good.

Bottle at Akkurat, Stockholm. Pours unclear orange. Hoppy and buttery aroma. Feels a bit like toothpaste, agresive citrus. A lot of bitterness as promised. It didnīt just "immediate ruin" my palate but I still felt the hops affect on my toung at noon the folowing day.
