Commercial Description:
So called because of the immediate ruinous effect on your palate. 100+ IBUs. Bracingly bitter. Thick, pungent hop aroma. We would say that no hops were injured in the brewing of this beer, but that would be a massive lie. In fact, the words "Stone Ruination IPA" are what older hop vines use to cause little hop vines to quiver with fright and lose sleep at night . We at Stone honor the brutal massacre of countless hops with this "Liquid poem to the glory of the hop!" Paganism at its best!

Pours a hazy copper with a big off-white head. Pungent aroma of citrus hops. Very hoppy seemed to lack the malt balance I was hoping for. Great brew for any hop heads out there. Definitely worth trying.

Bottle. Orange color. Semi hazy. Smells butter, caramel, lots of hops. The flavor is a little too aggressive. The bitterness of the hops kills all the flavor.

Bottle. Pours a orange/light amber color with big white head. Lots of lacing on the glass. Looks pretty damn nice actually! Aroma is hoppy, but otherwhise the first I noticed was the malty caramel notes. Hops dominates though: citrus, grapefruit, resin, apricot and mostly pine needles. Flavour is hoppy and very aromatic with lots of pine needles, resin, citrus, apricot, grapefruit and some malty caramel. More malty then expected, not that hop bomb I expected but on the other hand balanced. Very american, very enjoyable, very balanced... yet brutal, evil & aggresive. Fullbodied, quite much carbonation, but on the other hand smooth. Long, bitter finish. Extremely filling & thick. I have had it three times now (in three weeks). It’s definitely very amazing, I love DIPAS. It has grown own during the latest tastings. I hope I will get this again. First rating was like 8/5/9/4/18=4,3. Now it’s like 9/5/9/4/18=4,5.

Pours clear, gold-amber, with a medium white head, good lacing. Thick floral aroma, big pine and grapefruit. Medium body, dry and crisp. Very slight caramel malt flavor, the hops really stand out, very bitter and complex, more citrus than pine with an enduring aftertaste.

Poured cloudy yellow with a foamy white head. Grapefruit aroma. Intense bitterness up front. Pine hops and some grapefruit. Lacked balance. I’m not much of a hop head so I guess this one was really not for me, but I thought I would give it a shot anyway.

22oz bottle. Pours cloudy copper with a huge white head. Lots of citrus hops in the nose with a bit of malt sweetness. Lots of hop in the flavor with a nice malt balance. They did not overdo it on the malt like a lot of IIPAs do. Great bitter finish. Truly one of the best of the style.

This was a most delightful beer. It had a flowery aroma with a taste to match. Very drinkable even with such a high IBU.

Smooth and full of life. This beer has the greatest aroma I have ever encountered. Wow.
