Commercial Description:
So called because of the immediate ruinous effect on your palate. 100+ IBUs. Bracingly bitter. Thick, pungent hop aroma. We would say that no hops were injured in the brewing of this beer, but that would be a massive lie. In fact, the words "Stone Ruination IPA" are what older hop vines use to cause little hop vines to quiver with fright and lose sleep at night . We at Stone honor the brutal massacre of countless hops with this "Liquid poem to the glory of the hop!" Paganism at its best!

Bottle from Frugal Mac’s, shared with DominusCV. Pours a deep gold, with a fair-sized white head. Aroma is rather flowery. Taste is a full bouquet. Hoppy as hell, but there’s something rather floral and sweet about it. Goes awesome with cheese.

Pours a nice copper color. I loved the citrus flavor hidden in with the bitterness of the hops. You better really like hops to enjoy this beer! That being said, I loved it. One of my favorite IPA’s.

Sweet malty aroma wiith a touch of citrus hops. Immensely beautiful pour with a large fluffy head that sticks around. Powerfully bitter taste up front that lasts and lasts, must be drank at a warm temperature to not taste horribly unbalanced. The malt really shines through when it has warmed up. Alcohol is slightly evident in the warming character of this huge brew. I did not find this beer to be as impressive as Stone’s regular IPA, but to say it’s not a great beer would be a terrible lie. The first bottle I had I drank too cold, and it did not impress me. I’ve dipped into it once again, drank at the proper temperature, and understand why this is a coveted beer.

Bomber. Medium-small white head. Clear golden orange head. Aroma is citrus hop and grassy and spicy. Flavor of big hops with notes of caramel and grass and citrus also lightly spicy, very nice. Easier hops that goes slightly fruity and bitter to finish medium length.

Bottle thanks to Savvy1982. Pours a pale orange with a white head. Aroma has a little boiled vegetable, but it goes away like bottle stink in an aged bottle of wine. After the vegetables fade, a very nice hop and malt character comes through. Tastes very nice, rolling bitterness. Earthy vegital pine and bitterness. Excellent.

12 oz bottle. Cloudy, golden pour with a great head. Looks much less menacing then it tastes. Very bitter and tons of kick from the hops. If I can taste anything besides hops it is citrus. The hopes stick around long after a sip ends. Great beer but definitely something I need to be in the right mood for.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a beautiful orangish gold with a big white head. Aroma is a hop bouquet, citric-sour, floral. Taste is purely bitter hops, definitely leaves you breathing hops for a good hour after drinking. Overall an excellent ipa.

750 to pilsner. Unfriggin’ believable. My palate is certainly burnt out but this is a tremendous IPA. Very hot/hoppy throughout, which changes significantly as the beer approaches room temp. This may be my favorite IPA.
