prosqtor (407), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA Jul 8, 2008 Beerfest in Chilton. This beer is exactly what it claims to be: A decent Porter. It has a nice coffee aroma and flavor, and is thin in body with a dark color and beige-tan head. Skyview (2803), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA May 19, 2008 Served on draught at the Wisconsin Micro-brewers Beerfest in Chilton, Wisconsin. Pours a semi hazy dark brown brew with a thin beige head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and off-white ring. Aroma of roasted dark multi-grain malts, some coffee, dark chocolate and roasted nuts. Taste is medium to full bodied, light carbonated with flavors of toasted dark malt, dark chocolate, mild coffee and some nuts. Finish is a little light with a mild dark malt aftertaste that quickly disappears. keoki182 (298), West Bend, Wisconsin, USA Aug 10, 2007 Dark brown color with a half-finger tan head. Smells like a porter: chocolate, toasted malts, slight hops aroma. Tastes like a drinkable but totally unimpressive porter. Kind of smoky, although that may have been the bar itself. I agree with previous raters: very thin mouthfeel bordering on watery. JPDIPSO (4221), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Aug 9, 2007 Lightly hazed brown liquid with a moderate to small off-white head. Day old coffee and chocolate malt aromas. Fairly thin, but not watery. Flavors of lightly burnt coffee and hints of dark chocolate. Some mild fruit and vegetable components that distract. Certainly not the worst porter I’ve had, but nothing to exciting. BeerBelcher (714), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Dec 22, 2006 This beer poured black with very minimal white head which disappeared quickly. It smelled of alcohol and coffee. The taste was of coffee and faint chocolate notes, and not bad. Mouthfeel was flat (needed more carbonation) and somewhat watery. The beer seemed to be water+malt rather than a comprehensive beverage.
