Yellow golden coloured body with a thin white head. Aroma of light hops, malt and a very mild citrus scent. Light-bodied; Sharp hoppiness up front with a potent malt backbone and a very noticeable bit of sugar. Aftertaste shows a bit more well-rounded complexity, with the hops coming out more. Overall, a decent beer and very nice for me to try! I sampled this beer on cask at the Market Porter in Borough, London, England on 11-March-2008.

A Mes rate: cask at the Market NO Porter.
Seriously how can they have porter in their name and so rarely actually have one on??? Pale golden brown with a faint white film. Decent fruity malt aroma. Bland citric flavour with some late berry fruits. Inoffensive but mind numbingly dull.

Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. (070808)

Cask-conditioned at the Royal Oak, Bath 5/10/08. Pale golden with a decent white head. Aroma of apricots, straw and floral hops. Flavour had some sweetish malts, floral hops and a bitter, slightly peppery finish. Good.

Cask, Far From The Madding Crowd, Oxford. Looking up this beer to add my rating, I’m shocked to see how poorly this has scored so far. This was such a nice pint! Bright gold, pretty white head. Lime sorbet aroma with just the faintest whiff of Burton salts, so faint as to just fill things in nicely. Spicy cinnamon tangerine flavor, bright and lemony, a nice lingering nettle and citrus peel. A lovely refreshing beer firmly in the DS Hophead tradition. Had catching the bus not been an issue, woudl have happily stayed for several more pints of this.

Cask (hand pump / beer engine) at the GBBF 2008. Golden colour, low head. Moderate but nice aroma of honey, tropical fruits and flowers. The flavour also has some fruits (grapefruit) and honey, moderate hops in the finish. Okay.
