Very veinous nose, almost blood, tart apples, strong wet wood backing. Incredibly dry, sour front... like a dry still apple cider from crabapples, cherry pits, elixir cherry drainings, machine oil - wildly yeasty. Beautiful. 9/4/9/3/17

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 29, 2009 The Alibi Room (in Vancouver) has a 12 year old version of this Lambic currently. so I guess it’s hard to compare it to the two year old as the aging would have produced a completely different ale. Poured into snifter exhibiting a deep crimson color with no head. Nose of pinot noir, cherries in syrup, huge vinous quality hints of pepper. Flavor is sweet and fruity, intense almost tannic mid-palate and a sour balsamic finish. The yeast qualities I guess have dissipated with age and the sour qualities dominate. Palate is full, slick and dry. A fantastic opportunity to taste this insanely old lambic but be prepared for the vinegary character. Savvy1982 (303), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 16, 2009 Draft at the Alibi Room. Sold as Storm’s Legendary 12 year old cherry lambic. Big dark nose, nice dry cherry coke and acid nose, toffee, funk, brandy. Chocolate brandied cherries and malty funk in the palate. not sure this is 12 years old, it’s too sweet and malty. Top marks for a Canadian sour though. AgentSteve (1374), SF Bay Area, California, USA

Poured by Dr. Bill at the Stone Sourfest, passed off as just "Storm Lambic. Pours with a Hazy honey color. Aroma of light funk, light beery, tart and some honey. Taste is pretty tart with brett and tons of funk and a bit of fruit. Light bubbles. mgermani (864), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 1, 2008 Small head with some nice lacing, and a nice sour aroma with notes of sweet berries. A surprisingly balanced taste; sour and dry with mild berry flavour. Good carbonation, almost creamy body. I like how balanced this lambic is - it’s really had a chance to come into its own. Many thanks to a distinguished guest at G’s tasting party for the chance to sample this one! JoeMcPhee (5000), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 7, 2004 According to the brewer, this batch is ten years old now. Colour has faded to a lovely pale golden orange colour with the faintest hint of pink. Nice low carbonation. Fairly tart aroma, light cherry, horseblanket and some lemony citrus as well as a bit of spice. Flavour is nicely sour with some fruitiness and a fairly hefty salty component. Very nice. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 25, 2001 Updated: Jan 8, 2005Re-rate: The cherry flavour isn’t candyish - this beer has become very dry (five years later). It has more acetic acid than one would expect of a lambic but it doesn’t detract from the character. Not overly complex as the style goes, but quite tart, clean cherry notes...it’s rounded into form and gets an upgrade in score.
