Dark amber with a thin off white head. Aroma is light caramel, light smoke and old coffee. Taste is old coffee, faint caramel, pretty watery, light roastiness. At the end it has a tinge of tartness. I don’t think it’s 3.4 percentile bad, especially in the Irish Ale category.

Bomber from mullet2007. Nice dark reddish brown pour with a thick off white head. Malty slightly cardboard aroma. Taste is malty smooth and coca cola sweetness. Finishes soda sweet. Not my style.

Bomber from mullet2007; Nose of coffee, light roastiness, and light caramel; clear brown with a small beige head; flavor has coffee and light caramel but is kind of watery. Tastes like a very weak coffee stout.

341 ml bottle courtesy of a trade with mullet2007. Pours a cloudy dark brown with a moderate tan head that completely disappeared after two sips and left no lace. The aroma is odd for an irish ale and difficult to describe. Sort of like the smell of dead leaves in the fall when I am raking combined with a bit of malt. The flavor is very weak malt and unsweetened iced tea. Thin, watery mouthfeel. Disappointing. On a positive note, I do like the stubby bottle. Reminds me of the bottles used in the U.S. in the 1970’s and early 80’s.

very darl pour, almost brown. sweet malty aroma, borwn sugar, hazelnut, and coffee? this is an odd irish red i tell ya. flavour is again quite sweet, with notes of nazelnut, and now i’m getting vanilla. this is weird. Its not unpleasant, but not indicative of the style.
