The bottle looks good, but very much like Köstritzer Schwarzbier. Starts a bit washy, modest malty, not as roasty as other schwarzbiers. Modest sweet and fruity in the middle, the finish is too boring and mild. Not my favourite.

A 0.5L bottle shared at One Pint Pub. Pale brown head. Dark brown reddish colour. Malty nose. Malty roasty dry taste. Mild hoppiness. Some hints of honey and chocolate in the taste.

Bottle (thanx to joss ! ): Deep amber, with ruby sparks, coloured, no head to speak of; sweetish-malty, slightly roastmalty nose; bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, a bit oily; sweet-malty-bitter finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. A robust and unusual hoppy Schwarzbier, really a bit above the average..................

(bottle, with thanks to Jonas !) Clear, mahogany colour with a mid-sized foamy beige head. Slightlty sweet cara-malty, roasty aroma with spicy, herbal hops. Light-bitter flavour, medium to light body, crispy carbonation. Roasted malty taste with light notes of caramel on a herbal background; dry and moderately bitter, dark malty finish with herbal and also a bit metallic hops. Good.

Roasted malt and bitterhop nose. Chesnut color, not much carbonation, low creamy head with nice lacing. Flavor does not quite live up to the aroma: a bit roastyness, sweet malt, dusty bitterhops and a metallic aftertaste. Body is light - even for a schwarzbier, but is has a pleasant welllagerd mouthfeel. Not the worst Schwarzbier, but not the best either.
