Note - carbonation overpowered the taste initially but settles in a few minutes. joebudzjoe (231), Connecticut, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 23, 2008 Light amber color with a slighty tan head. Weak aroma of malts and slight hop. Flavor is bland mix of floral hop, malts. Slight peach undertone. Blend not very favorable and not very refreshing for a pale ale. elihapa (1067), Honolulu, California, USA

Nose was light, and full of grass, light hops. Flavor was very weak, I really was expecting much better from my first Stoudts offering. Carbonation overpowers the slight flavors of grass and mild hops. Finish is also lacking, with a tad of lingering bitterness. Only positive is that once carbonation subsides some, this beer is pretty refreshing. fredandboboflo (1417), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 22, 2008 On tap. Aroma of bready malt, whole grain cracker, light citrus hops. Flavor gets hoppier, more citrus, some pine, breadier. Strong hop finish. Nice stuff. LilBeerDoctor (1527), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 19, 2008 On tap at Dek’s. Pours an orange/amber with a tan head. Aroma of light hops and sweet malt. Not a strong aroma. Flavor initially of bitter hops, sweet biscuity malt, light citrus and piney hops. Good malt/hops balance, light-bodied, like a light IPA. Very refreshing and good. As the beer warmed, the flavor became hugely cracker, cracker, cracker. I’d drink this cold, as more of the hops are present. Very good though, I’d love to keep this beer always on hand. dkachur (2414), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

Been a standard offering for Stoudts for many, many years for good reason. It isn’t a ‘treat’ beer but a basic standard. Nice hazy straw color, big head with lots of active carbonation and sticky lacing. Smells mostly of muted bready malts, sweetened bran muffins. Tastes of superb malt/hop balance. Average bitterness throughout, smooth toasted malt flavor, some hints of lemon slices and wheat crackers. Good session beer.
