Nice hazy straw color, big head with lots of active carbonation and sticky lacing. Smells mostly of muted bready malts, sweetened bran muffins. Tastes of superb malt/hop balance. Average bitterness throughout, smooth toasted malt flavor, some hints of lemon slices and wheat crackers. Good session beer. Jvittorio4187 (255), Boardman, Ohio, USA

Aroma is very forward with lots of tangerine and hops. Floavo is slightly sweet with hints of sweet orange, slight grapefruit, and lots of hops. Finish is very bright and lingers. Very nice APA. jredmond (1068), New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | May 26, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a clear, honey orange body with small white head. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 18, 2008 Pours a light copper color with a medium off white head. The aroma is of subtle controlled hops, with a decent malt balance to it. Pretty standard pale ale aromas. The flavor has more of a profound hop presence in the flavor, the malts are there, but got some decent grapefruit citrus and bitterness in the finish. This is a well done pale in my opinion. I could drink this all day if i needed too. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 9, 2008 Hazy deep orange amber body with a light khaki head. The aorma is toasted almonds and grapefruit juice. There is a nice balance with hints of pine. The taste is weird orange flavored candy with some raspberry jam. There is also some bitter wood in the finish. It’s almost like licking a piece of wood. Teh smell was promising, but the flavor was a let down. jhumphries69 (730), Tyrone, Georgia, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 21, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a very clear and light gold/orange with an off-white head that leaves thin tendrils of lace on the glass. The aroma is thick and beautiful - both heavy in malts (dark fruit, caramel) and in hops (citrus /lemon). The flavor starts with some dry, green hop flavor and some breadiness. Once past the tip of the tongue, the hops assert themselves with more floral and piney character and there is a big dose of bready malts with lots of toasty melanoidins. By mid-palate, there is a great refreshing character to the blend of malts (bready, very little residual sweetness) and hops (orange peel). The finish is dry and full of citrus hops with just a touch of crystal malt sweetness to keep it from being unbalancedly bitter. The mouthfeel is slippery, somewhat dry, and medium in body. The carbonation is brisk, but the bubbles quickly break on the tip of the tongue, giving the liquid a lighter feel and providing a slight tickle of carbonation on the middle, sides, and back of the tongue. Overall, a great American pale ale. JorisPPattyn (5192), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 21, 2008 Draught Pale amber-ochre beer, clear; no head. Very discreet US hops nose, a bit perfumey, and pastry-like. Hops, caramel, but the end is bitterish-hoppy and even a bit celery. Light to medium bodied, slick to sticky. A bit sweetness, but remaining in balance. matt7215 (995), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 19, 2008 12 oz bottle from a trade with franksnbeans. pours burnt orange with and everlasting tan head. aromas are all cascade. cirtrus pine all the way. if the aromas were bigger this would have gotten a higher rateing. flavours are also very cascade hop with some malts but not quite enough. everythign is good in this but there just isnt enough of anything to make it score higher. a good APA.
