A bit of fruitiness in the flavor reminds me some of apples. Decent carbonation and mouthfeel. Pretty good overall for the style. A little more hops than I expected. kp (8396), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

I’m not sure why it’s so hard to make a really good pale ale, but even brewers who make a nice IPA struggle to make a nice pale ale. This one’s decent though. A couple of notches below Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, which I’d consider the bellwether. CheersMate1 (795), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 12, 2007 A transparent clear ale. Misleading in color. Looks pretty good, but not as good as some great American Pale Ales. A lovely aroma of fruit and hops. I can smell the awesome malty and hop aroma. I can taste the crystal malts as if I am eating the grains. The beer taste very raw, if that makes sense. The flavor hop is not noticeable, but the bittering hops are. You can taste the hops, but the taste does not sit in your mouth. The beer is decent but the flavor of the malt is a little over powering. Decent brew, somewhat thick. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 29, 2007 Mild aroma of earthy and spicy hops. Pours a clear amber with a thin white cap. Nice crisp bitter flavor, with hints of citrus and spice supported by a caramel malt flavor. Nice long finish, nicely balanced. A great session beer. redlight (1475), Winter Park, Florida, USA
