Commercial Description:
This uniquely American beer offers a crisp, medium-body with a light amber color. It is assertively hopped with Pacific Northwest Cascades for a firm bitterness and delightfully floral aroma.

Tap at Stoudts. Light hoppy aroma. Pale yellow color in glass. Slightly over carbonated but that didn’t detract from the taste. Hop taste but it fades fast. Not too bitter.

Grainy hop nose. Light palate with lots of hop bitterness. Slightly thin. One dimensional.

Bottle. Nose is sweet citrusy hops, nice cascade aroma. Clear with active carbonation and a patchy head. Simple hop flavors but enjoyable, a nice session ale. Decent palate but slightly biting.

This is a great example of an anerican pale ale. It was crisp and refreshing. It stil hasd heavy notes of hops with a light gold color. The mouthfeel shows notes of citrus fruit but with a very fair amount of balance.

Bottled. Orangeish golden colour with a nice fluffy/bubblyish white head, which vanishes quite fast though. Aroma is caramel malts, fruity hops and some very nectarish-sugary hints along. Flavour is more dull, some citrus fruits, malts, hops and slight acidicness. Not a bad brew, but the flavour was a disappointment, compared to what the aroma promised.

Orange, with a foamy, off-white head. Piney, herbal aroma. Nicely mixed notes of bread, spruce, pine and a touch of citrus. Really solid, well made everyday drinker, assuming you can find it in your area, which I can’t. And drink every day, which I don’t. So for me, this would be a "solid, well-made drink it when you find it and on those occasions when you are settled down to enjoy a beer" beer. Am I rambling? I think I’m rambling...

On tap at the Bocktown in Robinson. Very cool patriotic tap handle. The aroma of this is mildly perfumy floral and fruity. The color of this is nothing special, just your typical pale yellow american beer color, but what else would you expect for an american ale? Has a white head. The first taste inpression is that of mild hops, perhaps a little less than I expected for an APA. I have tasted many other APA that were more intensely hopped. This makes iit very drinkable in my opinion because I don’t care for hopped beers. Medium low carbonation. The hoppiness comes across as just enough to make it interesting without being oppressive. Has the right amount for personality without being uncontrolled. Finish is mild or medium hop bitterness that lasts for a few moments. The finish is not medicinal or acrid in any way, I’d say it is even controlled to an extent. Even tho I cannot appreciate this style, this is certainly one of the better APAs I’ve ever tasted after about a dozen.

This is a very mild style of the APA, the hops are mild and floral instead of sharp and hoppy. Malts are balanced, over all, an excellent session beer
