Aroma of sweet and sticky caramel, juicy, citrusy hops, and touch of earth as well. Grassy hops and caramel malts, citrus, with a bitter finish. Run of the mill pale ale. jah noth (1020), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 12, 2005 Somewhat muted aroma, lightly floral. Light golden in color with little head. Biscuity flavor with a lively hop base and some sour tanginess. A little watery. Kind of grew on me and I liked it more and more as I imbibed. Lou18 (1353), West Paterson, New Jersey, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 9, 2005 Poured a golden, orange, very clear. Nose of hops and yeast, but casscade hops. Oh no. There was a foamy head. Flavor is like an IPA, not my favorite, but, ok for the style. Oh, props to rich. YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 14, 2005 Rich amber color with an off-white head. Weak hop aroma. Thin and watery texture and mild carbonation. Flavor was weak hops. Nothing special. Probably a good Lawnmower Beer. shadey (1501), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 10, 2005 Updated: Aug 7, 2005Nice clear orange color with a creamy white head. Hop and some smoked aroma. Mild hop character in the flavor as well as that smoked presence coming through again. Interesting but not something I would seek out again. <br\>
RERATE: Very light amber color with a smooth head. Hop aroma with mild hop flavor. No resiny hops that can be off-putting in an APA. Easy session. Didn’t notice the smoked character this time. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 7, 2005 (12 oz bottle: Chevy Chase Liquors in Washington, DC) The promising nose is fairly bready and aromatic, but the flavor is a bit of a let down. Yes, the flavor is also bready, though less so than the nose, but the overall flavor is pretty light in general. Mild hoppiness lends some balance in the finish, but this beer is still tilted toward the breadiness. Every once in a while, I get an odd mushroomy undertone, and it seems to come out mostly in the finish. Medium in body, but the finish is actually kind of watery and thin. Medium golden color with a slight haziness. Off-white head is pretty average all around, showing a decent size on the pour, settling to a thin, but broken layer, and leaving some patchy lacing on the glass. Enjoyable, easy to drink, but just kind of wimpy in my opinion. euserphriendly (163), Holland, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Feb 5, 2005 This beer is far too malty for an APA. The smell when poured is pure malt. A disappointing beer from a good brewery. BennyTicklez (621), USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 4, 2005 Pours a light amber with a small tan head. Grapefruit aroma with a grapefruit taste as well. Well hopped for an APA. Similar to their IPA, but slightly toned down. Great stuff.
