Dusty and the only other beer from Stoudts was a bottle of the Scarlet Lady, again, just a single bottle. Holy crap, this is a criminally old bottle...best before 07/08/06 and it is 6/2/09! I didn’t know that their beers made it out here to California. Pours with a bit of off-white froth with a hazed to murky orange body beneath. Head fades on the quickish side leaving a ring and some froth. Aroma still has a bit of orange, but is mainly a sticky toffee twang. Some honey biscuit too. Taste is a bit oxidized, faded with a nice malty back-bone, and traces of orange hops. Still quite a bit of carbonation. Medium body. A Pale Ale that actually been kept well over the years. grandet (486), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours cloudy medium amber with a half finger off-white head with spotty lacing. The nose is biscuity malt and light citrus. The taste is malt, earthy hops and still some minor hop bite in the finish even for the age. Medium bodied. Would love to try this fresh, as it’s not that bad now. Thanks Bill. ben4321 (1041), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Aroma: A nice citrus, earthy hoppiness
Appearance: Slightly cloudy golden color, creamy white head
Flavor: Flavor is dominated by the hops, pine, a little biscuit malt in there too
Palate: Nice mouthfeel, almost more IPA then Pale Ale
Overall Impression:
I like this Pale Ale. It was a nice one. Packed with the hops, and I’m always a fan of that. Drinks really nicely. FROTHINGSLOSH (2031), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA

The aroma was tart, fruity, sweetish and tart. The flavor was bitter with moderate fruity and floral hops and not a whole lot of malt to back it up. The finish was long grassy and floral hops. Decent. thornecb (1796), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA
