| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Sep 4, 2008 Pours a medium amber with a thick off-white head that sticks around, and excellent lacing. Aroma has lots of floral hops and hints of yeast. The taste yields an explosion of hops, with a great balance of fruitiness and bitterness. The hoppiness in this beer puts it more on the IPA level in that category. Overall, one of the best Pale Ales out there, in my opinion. joeymacaroni (228), Wagontown, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Aug 20, 2008 Appearance: Pours a clear, dark copper body with a frothy, white head that left bits of splotchy lacing on the way down.
Smell: Toasty pale maltiness with a small hint of caramel. Citrusy, woody, even slightly spicy hops.
Taste: Pale malts, lightly toasty, and with a slight caramel sweetness. Sharp, citrusy hops with a moderate, unyielding bitterness. Finishes crisp and appropriately dry with a long, lingering, but restrained bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Sure, I’ll give it a thumbs up. A very solid, spot-on APA. smjohnst (203), , Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 17, 2008 I agreed with the previous review. I am big on pale ales but there is something about stoudts stuff that just tastes funky. too strong for just pale ale. Steinface (77), Hatfield, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 14, 2008 12oz bottle served in a Duvel tulip. Light amber body with a nice off-white head. Sweet caramel and pineapple aroma. Bready, sweet citrus flavor. Despite the sweetness the mouthfeel is very smooth, not sticky at all. Finishes very clean. A very good pale ale. Things like this make me glad that I live in Central Pennsylvania surrounded by great craft breweries. DrDavid (957), Johnson, Vermont, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 11, 2008 (Bottle). Sweet malty aroma. Bronze gold in color, with a thin white head. Mild and pleasing fruity flavor, citrus and pineapple. Very much like a mild IPA, without the bitter kick. Highly drinkable. MrBunn (1547), Western, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 9, 2008 Bottle. Pours a transparent copper with a finger or so of off-white head. Aromas are of floral hops, grass and caramel with a touch of pineapple lurking in the wings. Flavor has a higher hops presence up front than I would have guessed from the nose. Pine and pineapple bite you just a little and then give way to a caramel malt mid-section before transitioning off to floral hops and grass. This is pretty nice stuff.
