elihapa (307), Connecticut, USA Jun 23, 2008 3/4/08 notes: bottle from Bram. Pours clear, light amber-golden. Surprisingly light colored. Nose was light, and full of grass, light hops. Flavor was very weak, I really was expecting much better from my first Stoudts offering. Carbonation overpowers the slight flavors of grass and mild hops. Finish is also lacking, with a tad of lingering bitterness. Only positive is that once carbonation subsides some, this beer is pretty refreshing.
borgination (78), Lee, Massachusetts, USA Oct 5, 2008 12 oz Bottle. Delicious. Pours a dark golden color with a lightly tan head. Has a very fresh and hoppy taste to it. WeeHeavySD (1841), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Sep 27, 2008 12oz thats over due to be consumed. Pours amber with a tan head. Nose is light and bitter. Taste is fresh and hoppy, the hops have faded, but this bottle isn’t fresh either. gpekar (131), Sykesville, Md, Alabama, USA Sep 22, 2008 Poured a slightly hazy golden yellow with some carbonation bubbles rising in the glass. There was about a 1" creamy head. There was a nice floral/citrus aroma. There was a nice bit of carbonationtion and a good crisp clean initial taste. There was a good slight hops bite on the finish. A good easy drinking beer for a Sunday of football. patrick767 (1449), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Sep 21, 2008 bottle - Pours clear amber with a one finger head and citrus hop aroma. The flavor is a well balanced blend of caramel malt and citrus accented hops. It’s medium bodied and very drinkable. BigSkyman007 (189), USA Sep 11, 2008 Beer poured a foamy white head over a darker straw color. Aroma florid and hoppy. Flavor crisply hoppy, well balanced, but not overwhelming bitter. What made this pale ale stand out amongst others was it’s dry finish. A decent IPA offering.
