Murky brown color with a thck head and nice lacing. I was the only one at the tasting that thought anything of this stuff and I really liked it. Tastes of chocolate, dried fruits and a ton of malt.

Black brew which shows a ruby heart when held to the light. Good roasted nose. Light body which is a slight let down. Good malty flavor, decent doppel. Hoped for more.

Redish brown color, thick tan head. Nice aroma of malt, fruit and candy. Very good flavor of malt, fruits, candy and spices with for me is quite reminiscent of a maibock. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Very good, surprising beer.

Dark brown with good head and lacing. Big bready nose with malt/caramel, apple, and biscuit. The flavor is not as good as the nose. Too many things going on at once. I start to get some spicy notes. Gets better as it warms up. Nice creamy finish

Nice, rich, malty, deep lasting flavour. Strong enough to ride over others in big sampling. Could possibly change some minds on the the issue of not liking lagers.

Bottle pours deep red with brown hues, medium tannish head, with superb lacing.   Dark fruit, caramel, chocolate, and malts on the nose.   Figs, raisins, cherry, bready, chocolately on the tongue... yummie!   Wonderful texture, smooth, great flavors, & well balanced.   Nothing in this beer dominates, everything melds together very well.   Yeah, tiz good and worth having again.   Thanks goes out to hopsrus for the trade!

Deep brown in colour. The aroma was very malty, caramel, molasses and raisins. The flavour had lots of caramel, slight sweetness, very smooth, lots of malt. Very full bodied, complex and wonderfully balanced. Finishes with a mild bitterness, slightly warming. Another great beer from an amazing brewery. Thanks Michael.
