| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 29, 2008 Growler filled at Capones. Pours a mostly translucent deep copper/brownish with orange notes and a medium creamy/bubbly off white head that laced. Aroma of toffee, nuts, pine, orange, some grapefruit and cereal grains. Flavor of a nice toasted malt/toffee/nuts maltiness, grapefruit, pine, other mixed citrus, fresh and hoppy. Not as dark I was expecting, but a very solid beer. Nice balance of malt and hops, yet still staying within the IPA guidelines.
