Draft at BT. Pours a ruby brune body with a tan head. Sweet pine, grapefruit, and hop resins. A light toasted malt character and then its just dominated by pine and citrus to the finish and lingering.

Draft. Pours burnt sienna with off-khaki head. Nose is caramel malt, heavy piney hops, mild pumpernickle bread. Tastes rich, very hoppy, with a solid caramel malt bill and some late pumpernickel and cacao notes. Nice complexity and balance.

Sampled on draft at D’s in Monroeville PA this beer poured a dark red-chestnut color with a large khaki head that lingers. The aroma was strong with fruity and floral hops - though a bit harsh. The flavor was bitter and full of strong floral hops and strong harsh fruity hops. The finish was long and bitter.

On tap at Monks Cafe. Pours dark brown with a decent sized beige colored head. Aroma of citrus, pine, caramel, light chocolate. F;avor is again citrus, caramel, light chocolate. Palate is medium bodied, medum carbonation, finished on the bitter side. Very nice!

Draft. Dakr clear clean amber color with medium head. Aroma of toasted malt and citrus hops. The taste was the same with perfumy hops flavors mixed in. Flavors vanish quickly from the palate leaving a bitter finish.

Tap at Capone’s. Pours out a very interesting very dark copper almost a reddish hued brown with a moderate creamy off white head. Very nice aroma of some citrus and pine hops, but also some toasted bready notes. Taste is very well balanced, citrus hops come through throughout with some caramel, toasted malt and some grain. Very well done and wonderfully balanced.

Poured a brown red color with a small, light tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, pine, citrus fruits, toffee, and some toasted malts as well. Taste of pine, grapefruit, citrus, toffee, dark nuttiness, some caramel malts, and a dry, bitter finish. Thanks to TomDecapolis for sharing the growler

Growler filled at Capones. Pours a mostly translucent deep copper/brownish with orange notes and a medium creamy/bubbly off white head that laced. Aroma of toffee, nuts, pine, orange, some grapefruit and cereal grains. Flavor of a nice toasted malt/toffee/nuts maltiness, grapefruit, pine, other mixed citrus, fresh and hoppy. Not as dark I was expecting, but a very solid beer. Nice balance of malt and hops, yet still staying within the IPA guidelines.
