Commercial Description:
A rich, deep golden-blonde lager, Stoudt's version of the German classic style includes a generous amount of honey for added flavor notes. The full-bodied Mai-bock beer is significantly stronger than Stoudt's Gold Lager. Brewed with the finest German 2-row malt and a subtle, yet noticeable touch of noble hops, this year-round beer was traditionally made to cut through the chill of early spring.

Bottle. Transparent gold pour with a whit head. Aroma of malt, light yeast and candided fruits. The flavors were of some caramel malt, some rasin, and yeast. Medium body, soft carbonation...a bit syrupy.

Darkish consistent budweiser color with minimal hoppy and pineappley aroma. Taste was so well blended as to not be particularly "distinct".

Modest aroma, but pleasing hop bitterness lingers. Less sweet than other Mai-bocks. Medium body and light golden color.

Bottle. Small white head that mostly diminished, poor lacing, visible carbonation, transparent, and an orange hue. Nose was malty, sweet, hoppy, and some fruitiness. Flavor was thin, malty, hoppy, and some fruitiness. Mouthfeel was silky, watery and thin. Light body. Just kind of so-so. Nothing great, but not bad either. Mediocre.

Poured a mostly clear orange-copper color with a thin off-white head. The aroma is semi-dry with some fruitiness. Yeasty doughy notes as well. The flavor had some apples, fruity with mild yeasty phenols. The finish had a light bitterness. The beers flavor was short. Light to medium bodied.

Bottle: Pours a blond gold color, nice thick head and lacing. Nose of thick biscuit and light hoppy malt. Sweet husk and citrusy hop with the alcohol. The flavor is a bit less dramatic with the same notes playing together but through a more masked veil. Finishes tangy. Decent.

Bottle: Orange/gold pour with a white head. Aroma, yeast, pale malts, and some grassy hops. Flavor, caramel, some grassy notes, and some yeast. Not bad, not great.

A dark yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of fruit. The flavor is very sweet, which makes it somewhat sticky with strong notes of fruit, amongst those oranges and apples, and with a dry slightly bitter end, where the alcohol also makes it presence known in a subtle way.
