| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 25, 2006 Clear golden color. Nice compact head, altough vanished quickly. Sweetish nose of corn and honey, not that tempting. Fortunately, the flavor is more interesting, although I found it lacked hoppiness for a double-bock, on the sweet side. Pretty thin. Not that bad but lacks character... rebelbrewer (125), Lithonia, Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 21, 2006 12 ounce bottle that was poured into a Spaten Mai bock glass. The color was clear golden brown. The head was frothy and off-white and supported by massive carbonation. Minimal lacing is left on the glass. The aroma is pure caramel malt goodness. The taste is sweet malt, but not overly so. The carbonation helps to add a bit of zing on the swallow. Not a bad brew whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 19, 2006 Lustrous golden body with slow carbonation and a heavy, collapsing, cottony white head. Smells like apples, melon, honeysuckle and fortified white wine. Flavor is warm and pleasantly fruity with very clean malt characters and none of the malt liquor tendencies that sink some maibocks. Low bitterness and reasonably good attenuation. One of the better maibocks that I’ve had so far. jcwattsrugger (5581), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 13, 2006 Bottle. Honey malt aroma. Reddish yellow color with small head. Lightly sweet malt flavor with a mild astringent bock characteristic finish. Very good - nicely blended but on the lighter side for the style. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA

Aroma is a touch grassy with sweet undertones of cherry and fruity malts. Orange tinted clear body holds a slowly diminishing two finger thick white head. Smooth sweet malts in the fore followed by dried dark fruits, cherry is big and little else that is bock-like. Keeps true to it’s lager roots by tasting a lot like a fruit sweetened pale lager. Curiously I get no honey notes...something I foten get from adjunct pale lagers. Very clean finish. Refreshing and hides the alcohol well.
