| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 26, 2006 Aromas are fairly pilsner like... appearance is a nice coppery amber with a pretty big, white, frothy head. Flavor is sweet, definitely honey involved. Also bread, grass and apricot are present in the taste, that is pretty well balanced, but also pretty subtle. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 24, 2006 12 oz. brown, longneck bottle. Freshness date of 8/28/06 on neck of bottle. Poured out a orangish straw color, with plenty of tan colored head.
Aromas are of fresh baked sourdough bread, caramel malts, slight sweetness. Flavors are of sweet malts, honey, fresh bread, and a faint bitterness of Noble hops. Rich mouthfeel, not watery at all. Slightly sweet finish, followed quickly by a tiny bite of hops at the very end. A decent Maibock under any circumstances. lethe (168), Stony Brook by way of Cincinnati, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 20, 2006 Syrupy straw-yellow pour with medium white head offers a nose of sweet bread, honey, and dry hops. Palate is bit thin and uneven. Flavor is malty sweet up front with a grassy hop back that I found much more enjoyable than other raters. There is depth and richness here, even if the flavors aren’t for everyone, not a bad bock. oldstock23 (11), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 19, 2006 Nose is wierd...almost like rotten vegetables or asparagus. Hardly any head. I gave this one a try because I was trying to expand my palate somewhat. Not what I was expecting. Soapy chemical honey wax-like lingering syrup in the back of my mouth. I’m not buying this any more. jmuhops (663), Winchester, Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 19, 2006 Pours amber with a small, large-bubbled head. Sweet caramel and bread aroma. some honey and light grassy hops. The flavor is surpisingly hoppy, not-so-surprisingly malty, and pleasantly light. The aftertaste is all grass and grains and pretty harsh. Thin mouthfeel. Drinkable but unimpressive. badnewsbeers (1026), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 18, 2006 awful...clear red, watered down cherry kool-aid appearance with little head...aroma is quite indistinct, little caramel and fruit....flavor is a touch better when its cold, yet still seems weak in character...typical caramelized sugar malts with some sort of berry backbone?....watery and thin palate; a real loser here SB (317), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Golden yellow pour. Nice fizzy white head. Aroma light of honey, caramel, and dough. Flavor of flowers, caramel, vegetables, pine and fruit (apricots). Grainy aftertaste. Carbonation good. Light to medium bodied. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Overall, not my type of beer. I like maibocks, but I like them on the darker and maltier side. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 7, 2006 Best by 7/16/06. Poured a clear amber body with a moderate head. Aroma is honey and caramel.. both pretty light. There’s also some grassy hops there. Flavor is the same, it’s REALLY obvious that this is bottom fermented. Usually I dread that taste, but it was pretty good here.
