Sep 27, 2004 Updated: Oct 7, 2004Pours dark gold/brown color with minimal whitehead. Sweet malty raisin aroma. Light on the tongue, malty but sour, with raisin and a tad bit of alcohol flavor. Bitter hoppy dry finish. Overall, a delicious beer.

Sep 25, 2004 Bottle pours a clear golden, small foamy white head, decent lacing, with minor carbonation. Slightly malty, bready... a bit sweet on the nose. Slightly malty, raisiny, but also some sourness. Good body, medium mouthfeel. Was expecting it to be a bit heavier. Finishes slightly malty. Meh... boring.

Sweet honey and malt aroma. Orange-red body with no lace. Hops and malt to taste. Other flavors include caramel, flowers and a very slight amount of alcohol. Bitter finish.

Spicy aroma with tones of honey, alcohol, syrup and fruits.
Malty flavor with tones of treacle, honey, hard rye bread "knäckebröd". Dry bitter finish. Quite light in palate.

Aug 3, 2004 A tad heavy handed with the honey, but a solid attempt at the Maibock style. I’d say it’s up there with Capital (WI) in the US Maibock category.

Jul 27, 2004 Really liked this brew. Has a great sweet finish... it tastes so good when it hits your lips. The waitress that served it to me was cute also. Wasn’t expecting it to be nearly this good. I will definitely try to find this and drink it again. Recommended.
