| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 3, 2004 i assume this was the stoudt mai bock i had on tap at the standard tap. i actually found this pretty true to style, meaning it´s sweet with some vanilla and a pinch of salt and a little sticky with a lightly tinny finish. quite pale and flat for a bock but otherwise fine Probiere (992), Iowa, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 1, 2004 Honeyed alcohol, little depth or complexity. Good color, decent mouthfeel, but too sugary without being savory. There’s a fine line between Golden Grahams and Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and this beer crossed it. jeffc666 (1892), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 1, 2004 Clear amber body topped by a beautiful creamy slightlt yellow hued head. Lacing is excellent. The aroma is malty, bready, sweet honey. The flavor is sweet honey up front then a big dose of bready and earthy malts, wrapping things up is a good dose grassy hops and finally a bit of alcohol. Medium-full bodied creamier up front then becoming drier towards the end. A really nice brew. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 29, 2004 Honey figures prominently in the aroma. Clear golden amber with thin off-white fully diminishing head. Very fine bubbled carbonation. Gently bitter balancing a light sweetness. High carbonation. Light body. Bottle (sampled with MartinT and Rastacouere). Thanks Guzzler67. BBB63 (4232), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 28, 2004 750 Bottle: Beautiful amber/copper body with a large frothy head which faded and some lacing. The aroma has notes of roasted honeynut cereal, caramel, toffee, very aromatic hops, and a touch of spice. The taste is indeed sweet and spciy with a nice mild alcohol kick to shake up the palate. Underones are very earthy and herbal. The feel is warming yet oily and smooth. I enjoy this beer and it was a great nightcap. Yummy! Rastacouere (5555), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 28, 2004 Clear orange body on which lies a thin off-white film. Aroma is very mild. It seems pretty much limited to honeyish malt and light smokiness. The palate is a bit more expressing. it’s still oriented toward honey, so very sweet, but also grassy and earthy. A gentle bitter touch eases it off in the finish. Texture is oily, yet biting. Thanks Larry! thehinge (245), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 19, 2004 Excellent appearance. This maibock had a good head with plenty of carbonation. Taste was excellent....I would describe it as smooth and creamy. guzzler67 (1282), Hanover, Maryland, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 8, 2004 Bright copper appearance with a tiny head. Sweet malt aroma did not develop any complexity other than some spiciness. Nicely hopped, but the sweetness still dominates the taste. Finishes light and somewhat cloying.
