Very nice golden yellow with a fluffy white head that lasted until my last sip. Good stuff. Maverick34 (729), New York, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Apr 23, 2008 This is not a style I’m particularly fond of. It looks nice, effervescent gold with a thick, frothy white head. Smells very unoffensive - light bread, floral, sweet, grainy, and bitter notes. The taste is super heavy on the grains, with a very dry, bitter, resiny, gross finish. No balance to speak of. Buttery, slick mouthfeel. After a few more sips, the aftertaste really gets to me, and kinda gives me a headache. Bleh.. Ibrew2or3 (2766), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 4, 2008 12oz bottle pours clear gold with off white head. The aroma has lots of grainy and Munich type malts, apples, cantaloupe and raisins. The flavor is much sweeter than the nose led onto. I get apples, pears, cantaloupe and raisins before malty sweetness builds to midway carrying with it a mild spice note. A raisin note picks up toward the finish as well as mild Munich malts. The grainy malts carrying into the after taste as does mild fruitiness. Naka (526), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 31, 2008 Pours a clear amber color with a 1-finger fizzy white head. Doesn’t last very long and leaves a little bit of rimming. The aroma has some sweet fruity caramel malt character. A bready pils underneath. A sharp grainy malt flavor with a noticeable bitterness of noble hops. Doesn’t stay on the tongue very long though. There is a strong alcohol flavor. I’m not sure if this is an old bottle, but it has a bit of a skunk to it. ¾ (5006), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 1/5 | 12/20 | Mar 29, 2008 12oz bottle. Crystal clear honey colored body with a sticky spider web of a white head. Huge fuesal corn in the nose, sweet malt liquor sopping wet corn, cardboard, alcohol, etc... not really doing much for me. Too big, too rich, it doesn’t need to be at all, that’s the good think about maibock, it’s not supposed to me this syrupy, thick, viscous mess, it’s meant to be light and refreshing. gunhaver (1043), Tampa, Florida, USA

Pours a clear reddish copper, with a minimal watery ring of head on the glass. Lacing drips down the side. Honey aroma, floral hops, grain, and a subtle malt character. Honey and wheat are the prominent flavors. Grainy after-taste. And a bitter finish. It’s a bit cloying on the tongue. Syrupy body. Not exactly a refreshing spring beer.
