Clear deep gold, smallish bubbly head floating above.
Good full malt character, soft fruity hints. Like true pale bock.
Thick malty blanket, sweet but well fully fermented, subtle sugars (honey). Light fruity touch adds a bit of sparkle .Good malt work No off flavours, very clan. Pleasure to have.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 24, 2007 Medium golden, with a sweetness on the nose. The first sip tells of a refreshing medium pale lager, but upon further exploration there is more to this brew. The medium sweetness is a cross between german malt and an abundance of a sugar added for alcohol content, just enough hops to keep you interested. It’s a clean beer with a very light touch of citrus, maybe grapfruit. Good beer. This was given to me, but I assume the price is a little high to buy a case though. jeremytoni (1108), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 11, 2007 Bottle, pours a clear medium dark gold with some bronze color, nice white bubbles, lots of pilsner malt and some bread aromas with a faint fragrance of grass, some sweet and floral scents on the nose, taste of malt with some sweet in the mix, a medium hop or more bitterness on the tongue, more hop bite then what I have had in other light bocks, good fullness on the palate, this Mai-bock has a good amount of carbonation, I think this could have been better with a little less, otherwise a tasty beer.
